Expansion of the FERNAO Group
Cologne, August 18th, 2021 – FERNAO Networks Holding signed a binding agreement to acquire one hundred percent of cosmotel IT GmbH from Hamminkeln on 27 July 2021. The closing of the transaction took place on August 6th 2021.
With cosmotel IT, the FERNAO Group has acquired a specialist in the field of managed services in the KRITIS environment, which will contribute to FERNAO being able to protect the operational readiness of system-critical industries even more specifically than it already does. Particularly in the healthcare sector, which is currently characterised by facilities having to meet the requirements of the Hospital Future and IT Security Act, the FERNAO Group, together with cosmotel IT, can help companies face the increasingly complex demands on IT systems in general and those of IT security in particular. One of the core competences of the FERNAO companies is to make the complexity of IT and IT security manageable and to support customers in the daily operation of their IT.
The FERNAO 360° Cyber Security Service helps to maintain operational readiness across all systems and to protect IT systems from external and internal threats.
cosmotel IT will immediately be integrated into FERNAO's group-wide processes. This will allow cosmotel's customers to also benefit from the merger of the two companies by being able to access the entire portfolio of IT and cyber security services of the FERNAO group companies with immediate effect.
